For tourists who want to find out the magic of the Venetian night, you cannot miss the Spritz, called spriss in the region, the Veneto aperitif par excellence based on white wine, heavily carbonated water (seltz), Aperol or Campari and a slice of orange. Certainly on an empty stomach, there is not much road, so why not get delighted with one of the typical Venetian specialties? There is, to try, Venetian street food: the ‘scartosso’, that is, a fried food served in a cone-folded sheet of paper, to be eaten while strolling the street. Once fed, we can only be enchanted by the wonderful Venice. Returning to your tour, go to the Rialto Bridge, a great vantage point, where you can admire the Venetian life that flows punctuated before your eyes. Fascinating are the boats of every shape and size, the gondolas and the ferries, each of which follows its own route. Many of these sound the siren, others pass with the music in high volume, involving in an imaginary reality, in a world that seems made of water.

2) What to do in Venice at night? ENJOY ST MARK’S SQUARE

After the Rialto Bridge, go to one of the most photographed places in Italy, St Mark’s Square. Populated by day, St. Mark’s Square changes at night, when there are few people; its light shines, with its porticoes, the campanile and the winged lion (symbol of Venice), which seems to be placed there, as protector of the square itself.

Walk two steps further and, at the angle of the Doge’s Palace there is the Bridge of Sighs, one of the most photographed places in Venice. 4) What to do in Venice at night? TO CONTEMPLATE THE GRAND CANAL

As a last step, before falling “into the arms of Orpheus”, get another glimpse of the Grand Canal, possibly from the Accademia Bridge, one of the most deserved remaining times in Venice. The advice I allow myself to give you is to take lots of pictures. The magic of these places deserves to be immortalized in memories, so that they will never be forgotten.

It is the meeting point for young Venetian university students or one of the many small squares scattered throughout Venice, further away from St Mark’s Square where it reigns the typical atmosphere of the people who live in Venice and not of the normal tourists looking only for places to take photographs. It remains therefore to choose the place that attracts you most among so many in the region.

If instead you want to immerse yourself in the atmospheres of an ancient Venice, you must absolutely go to St. Mark’s Square and sit at the historic coffee tables of Venice, where accompanied by the sweet music of the orchestra, you can enjoy an evening in the most elegant lounge from Europe as the illustrious characters who have frequented these places throughout the centuries were used to.
