1) The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy: Neive! VISIT THE CLOCK TOWER

Here, you can get lost between the lines and try Barbera and Moscato among the canteens and wineries downtown. As in Ítalo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, the lost grace of so many places in the Italian province can only be found in old maps, where everything seems more beautiful than it is now. Neive also has its most modern parts, but the historic part is still very well preserved. The Clock Tower that dominates, in the heart of the medieval village, and the cobbled streets would be enough to justify the presence of Nieve in the club of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy.

2) The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy: Neive! VISIT THE CASTLE

The wonders of this Piedmontese town of Langhe, in the province of Cuneo, are numerous among all the genuine air you breathe, proudly maintained by its 3,200 inhabitants. The undulating panorama of hills full of lines does the rest, Neive is a dream in a magical region, to discover slowly. The name was probably given to the noble Gens Maevia family, which in Roman times owned these territories. The castle has, however, medieval origins, as well as the monastery that was built by Benedictine monks.

3) The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy: Neive! DISCOVER THE ATTRACTIONS

Neive resembles an old map, a little whitish and dusty, but fragrant with picturesque uses and with a familiar and sweetly melancholy air. Or is it not a black and white photo, because in Neiva there is no shortage of colors, the roads are often animated by city parties and fairs, and adventure lovers will find several things to do in the surrounding landscape. Although the old castle was almost destroyed, the medieval air of the center remained unchanged, and the houses with the red tiles, next to each other, create a picturesque setting all framed by greenery and vineyards. Generous vineyards of good wine.
