The Autodrome is known around the world as the temple of speed, it has been, and remains, the place where drivers, cars and competitions join some kind of legend, which has existed for almost 100 years. The Italian Grand Prix is a classic race of the Formula 1 World Championship. It takes place on a Sunday in September, on the track of the Monza National Autodrome. The Grand Prix reached its 87th Edition, of which seventy-nine took place at the Monza National Autodrome. This event is by far one of the most classic races on the Formula 1 calendar. A little bit of the Autodrome’s history

The construction of the Monza racetrack was decided in January 1922 by the Milan Automobile Club, in order to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Association’s birth. The Evolution of the Autodrome

The pit complex was expanded, making several pits available to the teams, from forty to sixty, it was also possible to obtain new spaces, on the first floor, for the various services and for the direction of the race. Another novelty is the expansion of the press room, which now has 540 seats available for journalists, in addition to areas for the press office. The press room is dedicated to Tazio Nuvolari, the great automobile and motorcycle champion, who in 2003, completed the fiftieth anniversary of his death.

The Monza circuit is also used for numerous events, charity races and concerts. The buildings were recently renovated and are used, in addition to receiving VIPS guests during the main competitions, also for meetings, conventions, product presentations and fairs for all types of heavy vehicles, corporate cars and bicycles.

The Most Important Competitions

The most important competitions that are held annually on the race track are the Italian Grand Prix, a race included in the Formula 1 World Championship calendar, the WTCC (World Touring Car Championship), and the Monza Rally Show, which takes place in November and closes the season in Monza. As every year the event that comes before Monza is Formula 1, this year you can follow it closely, by purchasing tickets, and choose between the various areas of the circuit: the inside of the Biassono curve, the area of the two Lesmo curves and the second variant, the Serraglio, Ascari and Parabolica curves.

To get a good view of the circuit, it is advisable to arrive early in the morning, as the seats are not numbered.
