Find out Milan and its Gastronomy

Milan is full of modern restaurants, which innovate in the menu, but insist on keeping the Milanese tradition in its modus operandi: great service, delicious dishes and unique flavors, all of it, of course, combined with excellent wines. The flavors of Milanese dishes are striking, but at the same time delicate! They are not heavy dishes and are usually even simple, but they fill your eyes and smell, not to mention the taste! Typical Milanese Dishes

There are some typical Milanese dishes that deserve to be highlighted such as Ossobuco, which is very tasty! Risotto alla Milanese, which is a perfect blend of arboreal rice and saffron! The famous Cotoletta, which you may know as the famous ‘breaded’! What about Mondeghili, which you may have eaten like the dear meatball! We cannot ignore the fantastic Panzerotto, which may remind you of a fogazza! Another important item is our beloved Panettone! Yes! He’s MILANESE! Did you know that? Anyway, there are a multitude of Milanese dishes that deserve a lot of prominence, but if we list them all, we will stay here until, at least, next week! About Restaurants

Always remembering that an expensive restaurant is not synonymous with excellence! Do not ignore the smaller restaurants, the less famous ones, those in the alleys adjacent to the big streets. You may have very pleasant surprises, then: don’t underestimate any ‘small door’, O.K.?! Also, do not ignore street food, the famous food trucks and the food served in the various markets that take place on weekends. CLICK HERE WITHOUT COMMITMENT AND BOOK THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN ITALY!

Important Tips

  • In summer, due to the heat, it is good to avoid some more delicate foods, such as sweets with cream without proper cooling, or dishes with mayonnaise, such as some snacks. Make sure that the chosen place presents the food in a fresh and well-chilled way, as the last thing you will want during a trip to Italy is a case of “mud butt”!
  • Wash your hands thoroughly before eating, especially on the street and don’t forget to take medicine for your stomach in your bag.

Hotels that I suggest in the Region of Brera

The Brera neighborhood is famous for its high fashion boutiques, exclusive art galleries and trendy bars – it is north of Piazza Duomo. The characteristic streets are inviting for a stroll without a destination. The main attraction is the Pinacoteca di Brera, where priceless works of art are exhibited – among them, the masterpieces of Raffaello and Mantegna. It is in the southeastern region of Brera that the “fashion quadrilaterale” is located. The region is frequented by VIPs and socialites who spend horrors in the boutiques of brands like Armani, Valentino and Versace, on the outskirts of the elegant “Montenapo” (as the Milanese affectionately call Montenapoleone Street)
