Important tip

Let’s see which restaurants to visit if you are in Milan, but remember: since the city is varied, so is the offer!

  • For lunch I advise you to avoid the very expensive restaurants. It is better to take refuge in a bar, as they are all equipped to offer discreet hot meals or great sandwiches and self-service where, in many cases, the choice is limited to two or three dishes with the advantage that the menu changes every day.
  • For dinner, instead, we can delight ourselves with unusual and special restaurants. Let’s see now 10 places to eat in Milan.

We started with the famous “Savini”, right in the center of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, near the subway and the Duomo. On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant represents the atmospheres of the old cruise ships, with live music.

If you are looking for different restaurants, Milan is the ideal city, it is the main city of Lombardy, it has strange places and restaurants, original or different, and it has the embarrassment of choice. The different restaurants in Milan offer unexpected decorations, a menu with only one dish, famous design, no cutlery and even total absence of light. Demonstrating what is said about the different restaurants, Milan has nothing to envy from curious restaurants around the world. At this point there is nothing left to know but a few.

Another very interesting place is 4CENTO, from aperitif to dinner and even dancing, is a multifunctional place, where the warmth of the wood and the cold geometry of the metal sculptures melt strangely into a large and cozy garden. Click here to learn more and make your reservation!

The inside is a tripod of different things that enrich the decoration and that you will not stop looking at while looking the menu, which also pleases vegetarians and coeliac. Even if Milan, despite being named grey and noisy, it is possible to find places where the snoring of engines and euphoria are just a distant memory.

The 28 Posti is another different restaurant that is only for a few. Between Porta Genova and Naviglio Grande, is a modern minimalist bistro chic of the winner ethical project Lnos says the name itself, there are only 28 places, but this is not only the peculiarity, the furniture is all made of recycled materials, while the kitchen overlooks the living room, is attentive to quality and respect for the environment. This is really different and it is called ATMosfera, and it is one of the most romantic restaurants in Milan, it is the ‘restaurant train’ for a really special night, running through the streets of downtown, having dinner in all tranquility. 9) Where to eat in Milan? BAR LUCE

Bar Luce, on the other hand, is one of Milan’s attractions in recent months; the Silver Foundation’s Bar Luce is a museum, cinema, aggregation center of the famous Maison of Italian high fashion. Why is it eccentric? Because the design is by Wes Anderson, the famous director of the pop-retro touch, that drew our attention to the imaginary of his films and, in particular, Grand Budapest Hotel. More than a restaurant is a bar; you’ll find snacks, sandwiches and some dishes to satisfy your appetite. Incredibly, prices are in the average Milanese and will not spend a fortune. In return you will be able to take out many selfies with the wallpaper bottom or the iconic round luminaries. The place gives us an atmosphere of a historic Milanese café, from the decoration on the ceiling and walls that inspires the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery to the internal furniture with a retro touch, which celebrates the Italian cinema of the 50s and 60s.

10) Where to eat in Milan? CONSTRASTE

In the tenth place we put a dinner to remember, with a really different restaurant; it is the Contraste, on Meda Street. To distinguish between the temples of food that Milan offers, you need to change the rules: that’s the bet of Contraste, the restaurant of Matias Perdomo that takes the menu from the tables and puts the client in the center of the list. It chose a name full of meanings that really represents its idea of restaurant. Click here to learn more and make your reservation!

Contraste, which in English means contrast, wants to represent the differences that unite who prepares the dish and who eats, but also that swimming against the current that yields a restaurant that is like a house, that renounces the menu to satisfy the desires of the guests themselves, leaving their freedom to choose what to eat.

Contraste focuses everything on welcoming, a bit like the taverns of old times, where the owner would stop to talk to the customers and ask: “What will you want to eat?”. The list of dishes here has been replaced by a card and to the inside a mirror, where – when the person opens it – sees himself and what they want. Magical!
