Essentially, avoid ZTL at all costs. Several people ask me about the famous ZTL, but, after all, what are ZTL? 4) How to avoid fines in Florence? PARK OUTSIDE THE HISTORICAL CENTER

Guys, it is not because there is no guard in sight, that you escape the fine! The streets have cameras placed in strategic locations that film and photograph the “lawbreakers’! The cameras and fixed radars that control drivers, not only in the historic center, are located in the following locations:

At the entrance and exit of the city, at Viale Etruria;
At the entrance and exit of Via Marco Polo;
At the Indian Viaduct;
Viale Matteotti;
Viale Lavagnini;
Viale Gramsci;
Via Senese, which is also at the entrance to the city.

They control speed, red light advance, parking in a prohibited place and other traffic violations. In Italy it is also prohibited to talk on the cell phone while driving, so stay tuned! Just like driving without a seat belt, O.K.?!

5) How to avoid fines in Florence? DO NOT SMOKE DRIVING

Attention Smokers !!!! Smoking is prohibited while driving and it generates a fine! Always remember that the fine can reach your home in up to 60 days, but it arrives!

If you are traveling with a person with some type of disability, it is necessary to rent an appropriate car for these people, because the license plate and the vehicle indicate that the car is for people with physical disabilities, but this DOES NOT GUARANTEE TRAFFIC RELEASED: it is necessary to inform the hotel / parking lot the license plate in the same way, that is: you NEED authorization anyway, ok ?!
