Built in the 12th century, it is one of the most beautiful Italian castles. The site served as a fortress in the medieval era, and was the home of lords until the end of the 18th century, in addition to being the headquarters of an agricultural company. Built in 1200, the Castle was badly damaged in the 15th and 16th centuries, due to internal wars in the region. The first restoration works began in 1849 and, in the same year, it was reopened; the current aspect of the Castle took place with its expansion, in 1886 and remains so today. Its stone walls are charming and everything seems to have come out of a fairy tale book.
